Oak Knoll: A Local Favorite (9 Holes)

Since 1927, golfers have loved playing at Oak Knoll Golf Course. Between the beautiful views of Grizzly Peak and Pilot Rock, and the challenging course layout, Oak Knoll attracts golfers of all skill levels. Owned and operated by the Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission, Oak Knoll is Southern Oregon’s only municipal golf course.

Their 9-hole golf course is open all year, has a covered driving range, and practice areas. But the best part is eating authentic BBQ at their clubhouse. With favorites like hot dogs, hamburgers, wings, sandwiches and much more, it’s the perfect way to end a day of golfing.

A Premier Experience at Eagle Point Golf (18 Holes)

When you’re ready to venture out, Eagle Point Golf Course is located 10 miles east of Medford. They are a Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed golf facility, featuring natural terrain and four sets of tees. Surrounded by gorgeous scenery, this top-tier golf club offers a semi-private golf experience which is open to everyone.

However, the course and its design are the stars of the show — drawing golfers back year after year. The spectacular layout created by Robert Trent Jones Jr. offers an unforgettable experience, and with distances from 5,091 to 7,099 yards, this course is great for every golfer.

Editors Note: In 2014, we had the honor of sharing the Rogue River with Trent Jones Jr. during his visit to Southern Oregon. Over his four-decade career as a golf course architect he designed 270 courses, but Eagle Point was the only course he ever owned. Unfortunately, our attempt to convince him that the “River Guide Mulligan” is a legitimate rule on all golf courses failed.
