This past weekend a group of us went out and ran the Illinois River. The Illinois is a phenomenal multi-day rafting trip in Southern Oregon. It is a tributary to the Rogue River but only runs in the winter and spring. We were doing a two-day trip and camped about 18 miles into the run. The largest rapid, Green Wall, loomed just downstream and we ran it first thing in the morning.

Here’s a nice video of Will Volpert’s run through Green Wall, top to bottom, shot by a passenger in his boat.

Contact us if you are interested in running the Illinois. There are only a few outfitters permitted to offer trips on this spectacular stretch of water and we know all of them.
