G’day! My name is Torrey Johnson. I am a young man with a passion for the outdoors and love of the water activities within them. It is important to me to value wilderness and avoid the ignorance that threatens it. This ideal has lead me to pursue outdoor based professions, activities and education. After growing up in Ashland and graduating from Ashland High School, 
I had an itch in my feet to explore and spent the next couple of years traveling around the world to such places as Australia and New Zealand as well as Europe and South-East Asia. Throughout these grand meanderings I continued to find that I would seek the outdoors because of the good it did for my well-being. My time in New Zealand was part of what made me fall in love with spending time on beautiful rivers. My degree in Outdoor Adventure Leadership from Southern Oregon University is another large part of it.
I am very grateful to live in a wonderful place with great people and so many excellent outdoor recreation opportunities. Likewise, I am very excited to expand this appreciation to my friends at Indigo Creek Outfitters (some old, some new) and to have an amazing year of rafting on the beautiful rivers we have here in the Pacific Northwest.
