Part 1: Rogue Valley Rapid Run
The Rogue Valley Rapid Run is the closest rafting to the Rogue Valley and is a refreshing way to start your day. Perfect for beginners or groups of mixed experience levels, this trip is our most popular excursion. The trip features a steady progression from the easiest and most mellow rapids to the largest rapids, which gives everyone a chance to slowly become more comfortable with whitewater and rafting.
After a morning of rafting on the Rogue River, Bravo Outings meets wine tasting participants back at our Rafting Center. It’s a short drive to the first winery that you’ll visit.
Part 2: Wine Tasting
The wineries you will visit during a Rogue Valley Wine Tasting Tour are hand-picked to showcase the diversity and quality of our local wine industry. The tour itinerary varies occasionally, but one constant is the exceptional wines you will experience on each and every tour.
Kick back, relax, and enjoy our regions most impressive wines Bravo-style. You’ll be transported in Bravo’s ultra-comfortable wine tasting vehicle. Drivers and guides are knowledgeable and friendly. They know the Southern Oregon wine industry and have developed strong relationships with the wineries you will visit. Our guests will be given access and time to visit unique places and meet the people who influence the Southern Oregon wine scene.
The tour includes tastings at three wineries and transportation in the comfortable Bravo Outings van.
Common Questions
What happens at each stop?
At each winery, you will have the opportunity to taste 5-8 different wines and learn about each varietal and how they differ. Southern Oregon wines are quite different from other wines grown in the state so you’ll have the opportunity to taste some unique wines perhaps for the very first time.
How long will we be at each winery?
We find that 45 minutes to one hour is ample time to taste and not feel rushed.
Will we receive a discount on wine that we purchase during the tour?
Most wineries will extend the member discount to our guests but please ask your guide in advance to purchasing, just to confirm.
Does that leave us with enough time to catch and Oregon Shakespeare play?
Yes, most plays start between 8:00 and 8:30, which leaves you with plenty of time to have a relaxing dinner before heading to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
I love wine but I’m not sure about the rafting part of the day. Can you accommodate me?
Yes. Although we are certain you would love rafting the Rogue River we can certainly accommodate you if you choose not to partake in the morning rafting trip. Contact us and we will arrange a pick-up time for you in Ashland to meet up with your group after they’ve gone rafting.
The Indigo Creek Experience
Experience speaks volumes – and we have lots of it. Whitewater has been in our blood since 1972. We are lucky to work in a fun and exciting industry, but we are most fortunate to have the best customers on Earth who make the work we do a true pleasure. Read our story, learn about our crew, and read about the Indigo difference.
