One of the best parts of Halloween are the local haunted houses. Each propels you into a scary story, leaving you eager to experience every scream, thrill and chill. If you like a good scare, then you must grab a friend and venture into the unknown of these haunted houses.
Nightmares on the Rogue
This haunted house will take you deep into the jungle, where all manner of haunts and horrors await. You’ll navigate your way through a spooky village, home to Lady Voodoo and her dark magic. And as your adventure continues, will you dare enter the sacred temple, which holds a terrifying secret?
Nightmares on the Rogue is located at 1405 Hilton Road in Medford. They are open 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday in October, and 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. on the 27th, 28th and 31st. General admission is $15. And when the tricks are over, indulge in a treat from one of the food trucks on the midway.
Nightmare Chamber
The Nightmare Chamber is a local labyrinth of fear and horror, which changes their theme every year to offer new thrills and scares. The Nightmare Chamber’s professional set design and experienced theater professionals ensure a chilling and terrifying experience.
You don’t want to miss their final season, which is focused on the uncontrollable nightmares in your own mind…and in the waking world. Located in downtown Medford, they are open from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. (with some extended hours to 11 p.m. or midnight depending on crowd sizes) on October 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. General admission is $12.
Just Scream Haunted House
Hidden among the monsters, terrors, screams and scares, this haunted house has a heart of gold. With every chill and thrill, Just Scream Haunted House donates 100% of their proceeds to SoHumane in Medford. So while you get that adrenaline rush wandering through their haunted house, know that it’s all for a good cause.
Admission is $6 per person and they are open from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on October 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th.
