Jasper’s Cafe started in 1976 in downtown Medford selling hot dogs and pies. Mel Sherbourne would go all the way to the bay area in Northern California and return with the “Casper Dog,” which they still serve today.
However, a trip to Jasper’s isn’t complete without ordering one of their amazing burgers. They offer up to 40 wildly creative gourmet hamburgers, which are hand pressed every day.
Additionally, their specialty wild game meats include Dakota free range bison, Canadian free range elk, wild boar, Australian Outback wild kangaroo, and camel. They also have Oregon all natural grass-fed beef, lamb and turkey.
But the vegetarian is never left behind at Jasper’s! To make sure they have delicious options for everyone, they offer a black bean chipotle burger or the Oregon Harvest vegan patty.
Jasper’s also has delicious milkshakes, with over 20 flavors to choose from. Their old-fashioned shakes are blended from hand-scooped ice cream, a nod to this classic diner dessert.
They serve lunch and dinner, and you can eat your meal inside or dine outdoors in a beautiful park-like setting. The shade trees and covered patio are a cozy spot to enjoy your food during the beautiful spring and summer months.
