School Group Rafting Trips
School group rafting trips are a great escape from the classroom, Shakespeare, and the norm. We work with school groups of all sizes, ages, and budgets.
Recommended Trips:
Half-Day Rogue River or Multi-Day Lower Klamath
More options are available!
School groups frequent Ashland, Oregon during the spring and summer months to see plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. If your group is in Ashland for more than a day, consider joining Indigo Creek Outfitters for a half-day to four days of outdoor recreation. Our trips are well suited for large groups and we make planning a group-rafting trip easy. We have facilitated rafting trips for middle school groups, young-adult high school trips, and university clubs.
Common Questions
How many can go on a trip?
Depends on the trip. Some of our trips have a maximum group size of 12 while others don’t have a maximum.
How many people fit on a raft?
We have some boats that seat 6 plus a guide and larger boats that seat 8 plus a guide.
Some in our group have never been rafting before – do you have any recommendations?
All of our trips are perfectly suitable for adventurous first-time rafters. If there are young kids or people who are very nervous, you could consider a shorter trip on the Rogue River. With that said, our guides are very good at helping everyone feel comfortable while on the river. Someone who is nervous at the start will be enthusiastic and ready for more whitewater by the time the trip is over.
We have a large group, can you provide transportation?
Yes, absolutely. We typically use 15-passenger vans, however on occasion we charter buses for custom groups.
Our entire group is staying at the same location, can you pick us up?
Yes, assuming the entire group is at one location, we are happy to provide a pick-up and drop-off service free of charge.
The Indigo Creek Experience
Experience speaks volumes – and we have lots of it. Founded in 2011, Indigo Creek stems from decades of work in the whitewater and adventure tourism industry. We are lucky to work in a fun and exciting industry, but we are most fortunate to have the best customers on Earth who make the work we do a true pleasure. Read our story, learn about our crew, and read about the Indigo difference.
