This past weekend we took our new boats for a spin on the Upper Applegate River outside of Jacksonville, Oregon. The Upper Applegate, which is one of two “inflows” into Applegate Reservoir, rarely runs unless it is dumping rain or a fast snow melt. The character of the run is very continuous and, at the flow we had, extremely technical.

We lucked out weather-wise because just prior to the weekend it has been raining and snowing so the flow was up but the sun kept us warm and happy. Here are a few photos of our day outside. We can’t wait for the season to start!
