We all need a little extra sweetness on occasion, whether it’s a gourmet caramel to pour over ice cream, an after dinner mint, or a handcrafted chocolate bar to nibble on after a long day.

While Southern Oregon is well-known for its wine, craft beer and fresh produce, our amazing valley also has yummy confections!

Our river guides have tried delectable chocolate treats from across the Rogue Valley, but they want to introduce you to one of their favorites — Branson’s Chocolates in Ashland.

A Chocolate Lover’s Dream

Branson’s Chocolates has a variety of desserts and treats to satisfy your every chocolate craving. They offer brittle, caramel, chocolate bars, toffee, chocolate-covered after dinner mints, and more. Each one has a unique flavor profile, so you’re bound to discover something special with every treat you try.

They also cater to customers who are sugar free! These options have all the intense chocolate flavor you love, but without the sugar. Some of their sugar free items include peanut butter cups and hazelnut clusters.

A Rich History

Owner and confectioner Deena Branson had worked at another local chocolate company for ten years before starting her own business. When that company closed, Deena didn’t want the beloved recipes to be lost to the community.

In December 2005, Deena started Branson’s Chocolates. In 2014, the business moved so they could sell chocolates, truffles, chocolate and caramel sauce — and much more! — in an inviting retail space. Everything Branson’s sells is handmade and hand wrapped, featuring old and new recipes, beautifully melding the past and present. Branson’s Chocolates also supports local farmers and distillers by sourcing ingredients from them for their products.

If you’re craving chocolate, their walk-in retail and curbside pickup hours are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and closed on Sunday.

Chocolate for Every Occasion
