The Rogue Valley offers numerous outdoor winter recreation opportunities, including skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, snowshoeing and much more. But not everyone is a fan of the cold weather and snow.
If that’s so, we have a list of four of our favorite indoor activities you can enjoy on even the coldest of days. Leave your heavy coat and boots behind, and let the adventure begin!
1) Cyber Center Esports Gaming Lounge
Looking to leave the mundane behind? Explore the fun of virtual reality at the Cyber Center Esports Gaming Lounge in Phoenix. Located in the Shoppes at Exit 24, they have PC gaming stations, four console stations, and everything to fulfill your entertainment dreams. You could also participate in competitions and tournaments. Gather your friends — or make new ones! — when you hang out and play games at this cyber oasis.
2) Cascadia Axe Company
If you’ve ever wanted to channel your inner warrior, then axe throwing is for you! Cascadia Axe Company is the Rogue Valley’s premier axe throwing facility. They welcome visitors of all skill levels (although axe throwing is restricted to guests 18 years and older), and provide a throwing lesson before each session.
If you don’t want to throw axes, you could play one of their board and card games. There’s always something to do at Cascadia Axe Company, and you’ll find a new fun thing every time you go. They also provide a great selection of canned beers, hard ciders, hard seltzers, wines, sodas and non-alcoholic beverages.
3) Roxy Ann Lanes
Roxy Ann Lanes is Medford’s premier bowling center. They have 24 lanes for bowling, a full-service bar and grill, and an arcade that will keep you busy for hours.
This awesome bowling alley opened in 1959. The owners, Herschel and Virgie Dixon, named the new business after Roxy Ann Peak. Today, Roxy Ann Lanes has bowling for all ages, and the Open Frame Bar & Grill when you’re ready for a break in between games. It’s also the perfect place for your next party or event.
4) Rogue Karting
Do you love to race? Enjoy an exciting race with your family and friends in Rogue Karting’s modern, awesome karts! You could reach speeds of up to 40mph, and enjoy tons of fun on the indoor track. Safety is also paramount at Rogue Karting, so you are equipped with 360 protection and adjustable seats, steering wheels, and pedals. Everything is completely safe, even when you’re speeding down the fast lane. After your race, enjoy drinks, salads and delicious sandwiches.
