Summer is our favorite time of year. We love spending warm days floating on the water and escorting you along the Rogue Valley’s rivers. Then there’s sleeping under the stars and sharing meals by the campfire. Our days and nights on the river are very special to us.

But we also love the lush greenery and scenery throughout Southern Oregon. And when the water adventures end, we encourage you to visit the area’s many local u-pick farms. There’s a lot to see and do — and you’ll return home with a basket of goodies!

Bella Blueberries

A locally owned U-Pick farm, they have some of the best blueberries in the Rogue Valley. Open from late June through early September, it’s the place to go for local blueberries. Whether you’re making pies, scones, muffins, jam or pancakes, locally-grown blueberries make everything better. Or, grab a bowl of your freshly-picked blueberries, find a shady spot and a good book, and enjoy a lazy summer day.

Friday & Saturday, 8 a.m. – 12 noon

785 Plumtree Lane, Grants Pass

The English Lavender Farm

From mid-June through the middle of July, the fabulous color of the plants at the lavender farm will take your breath away. And it smells amazing! The farm is open during June and July because those are the flowering months for the plants. Between the fragrant aroma and beautiful hues of purple and green, you’ll love exploring this local farm.

Harvesting the lavender also takes hundreds of hours and a lot of hard work, so they start as early as possible. The harvest continues through the summer with a push at the end of July to finish before the color of the lavender becomes muted.

Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

8040 Thompson Creek Road, Applegate

Oregon Bee Store

In addition to bees, honey and candles, the owners of the Oregon Bee Store farm a small, 7-acre organic property in Eagle Point. Their strawberries and other produce can be found at the local growers markets in the valley. They also have beautiful U-Pick flowers available, in addition to fresh and delicious strawberries.

Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

14356 Highway 62, Eagle Point
